Hey!
So, i'm going to make a quick comparisson of two of the most wanted and affordable Dj midi controller consoles, the Behringer BCD3000 and the Hercules MK2 . Both are a Dj software controller that permit you to controll much better you software instead of using the mouse (if you consider that "control") (joke).

The butons
Both have the basics of a normal dj kit, cd or vinyl:
- 2 Jog wheels to search on the tracks, speed up or down the tracks and scratch
- Pitch controllers
- Volume sliding controllers
- 3 equalizer knobs for each deck
- Play, cue, previous and next buttons to each deck
- Effects buttons
- Bend tempo buttons
- Synk buttons
- Audio source sellector buttons
- Master and Mic control buttons
- Option to connect up to two external devices, such as vinyl or cd players
Differences
Now that i've presented the consoles, i'm going to enumerate what i think that are the main differences:
- The jog wheels of the Mk2 feel better, they spin perfecty. The BCD wheels sometimes scratch the borders and they don't spin so well, nothing that interfeers with the mix
- The pitch controllers in the Mk2 are knobs and in the BCD are sliders. It feels better the sliders and they are more accurate
- The BCD has High, low and medium kill buttons. This is a cool thing when you are mixing. The Mk2 don't have this ones.
- The buttons of the BCD are in hard plastic. This gives you the right sensation of "click" when you press it. You know when it is pressed. The MK2 buttons are in rubber, and when you press them you don't feel that click. This is a important aspect when you mix.
- The BCD as a solid construction, it looks hard, reliable, more professional. The MK2 seems more like a toy than a dj mixer. It is little and seems fragile.
- The MK2 as a multi directional joystick that permits you to navigate on your monitor, and 2 load buttons that enables you to load the track in each deck without use the mouse. The BCD don't have this. This is a usefull hability.
- The BCD comes Traktor enabled. This is for a lot of people the best dj software around. It is the light LE version, but is a very intuictive software. The MK2 comes with a Hercules software made for the MK2.
- Both are cheap ones, around 200euros but the BCD is cheaper than the MK2
Veredict
So, after all i said, i think the Behringer BCD3000 is the better choice. It is harder, more professional, and for the price, the best decision.

See you soon?
